provide?

Our
name, "Rehabilitation Options", means just that, Dr. Hatzakis approach is
treating the entire person with an acute or chronic injury or
pain using a full compliment of "rehabilitation options" for care.
We use a coordinated, team approach (interdisciplinary team
) to help you quickly recover from a nagging back or
neck pain, shoulder pain, sports injury. We beleive in treating
you as a whole person, so we will also discuss work issues, psychosocial
issues, medication issues that will help you to be
your best. Our approach is not one of using repeated procedures
or drugs to cover a problem, instead, we believe
in understanding the reason you hurt and teaching
you how to manage and treat your problem to return quickly
to your active life. We take the time to understand your problem, first by listening
to you and then using skilled biomechnical assessments, injections
as needed, medications, referals to those working closely with our
team to better focus your rehabilitation program. The result is a highly
effective treatment program that will get
you back to full activity quickly. Dr. Hatzakis is
also certified in the use of Suboxone to help get you off Opioid
pain medications.
Dr. Hatzakis’ training is in physical
medicine and rehabilitation.
He believes that the most
effective and long-lasting results occur through neurological
and musculoskeletal diagnostic tools such as electrodiagnostic (EMG)
testing and examination, exercise instruction and guidance, procedures
such as muscle and joint injections, the use of medications where
appropriate, and psychosocial assessment (see below) in conjunction
with an interdisciplinary rehabilitation
team,
which is
the cornerstone of the physiatric approach to
recovery.
Dr. Hatzakis works with
Labor and Industries, major insurance carriers, and as provides
medical-legal services to attorneys.
He is happy to provide consultation only or to assume care for
specific conditions.
Physiatrists, like Dr.
Hatzakis, focus on what is most important to us: restoring function--
function in our jobs, with our families, and in our recreation. They
care for patients with acute and chronic pain and musculoskeletal
problems, like back and neck pain, tendonitis, pinched nerves and
fibromyalgia. They also treat people who have experienced catastrophic
events resulting in paraplegia, quadriplegia, traumatic brain injury, and
individuals who have had strokes, orthopedic injuries, or neurologic
disorders such as multiple sclerosis, polio, or ALS.
